Inside Your TeleHealthMed Package
A vial of compounded GLP-1 medication
Needles for subcutaneous injections
Alcohol pads for sanitizing the injection site

Important Before You Start
Look at the Beyond Use Date (EXP) on your vial to ensure the medication hasn’t expired.
Verify that the syringe’s unit markings match your prescribed dosage.
Your dose can be taken with or without food—just be consistent with your weekly routine.
TeleHealth Med GLP-1 injections should be taken once each week, on the same day.

Preparing for Your Injection
Start by washing your hands well with warm water and soap, and dry them with a clean towel. Set up your materials on a clean, flat surface. Then, select one of the recommended injection areas.
Abdomen’s fatty layer
Front or outer side of the thigh
Upper arm (use the back of the arm if someone is helping)
Wipe the chosen area with an alcohol pad and let it fully dry. Rotate your injection site each week to help prevent irritation or bumps.
Do not use areas that appear bruised, red, scarred, or firm.

Medication Preparation Instructions
Wipe the rubber stopper on the TeleHealth Med GLP-1 vial thoroughly with a fresh alcohol pad.
Pull the syringe plunger back slightly to draw in a small amount of air, equal to your prescribed dose.
Insert the needle into the vial and push the plunger to inject the air. This helps equalize pressure and makes drawing the liquid easier.
Invert the vial and carefully pull back the plunger to withdraw the prescribed units. Make sure to follow the syringe's unit markings and your specific instructions.
Gently tap the syringe to move any air bubbles to the top. Slowly press the plunger until a small drop of medication appears at the needle tip, ensuring no air remains in the syringe.

How to Administer the Injection
Clean the chosen injection site with an alcohol pad and let it dry completely.
Gently pinch the skin and insert the needle swiftly at a 90° angle. If you have very little body fat, a 45° angle may be more comfortable. Insert the needle fully.
Slowly press the plunger until all the medication has been injected. Then pull the syringe straight out. Pause for 5 seconds before removing the needle. Dispose of the used needle and syringe immediately in a sharps container.
If needed, apply gentle pressure with a cotton ball—but do not rub the area.
Light bleeding or mild bruising can happen and is normal. This can be reduced by rotating injection sites and following proper technique. If you experience ongoing pain or swelling, please reach out to us.

Best Practices for Optimal Effectiveness
Keep the medication refrigerated at 36°F–46°F (2°C–8°C). Do not freeze. Protect the medication from light and allow it to reach room temperature before administration, if necessary.
Administer TeleHealth Med GLP-1 once weekly on the same day each week. If a change in the injection day is required, ensure a minimum interval of 48 hours since the previous dose. Use the TeleHealthMed app to track your injection schedule for consistency.
If a dose is missed, administer it as soon as possible, provided it is within 4 days of the scheduled injection day. If more than 4 days have elapsed, skip the missed dose and resume the regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
If the needle is accidentally touched or the medication is spilled, dispose of all contaminated supplies in a sharps container. Never reuse needles or syringes. Request replacements from your provider as needed.
